Fatima Bhutto is an Afghan born Pakistani poetess and writer. She studied at Columbia University and the School of Oriental and African Studies. She currently writes columns for The Daily Beast, New Statesman and other publications.

"Songs of Bl ood and Sword" is an epic tale full of the romance and legend of feudal life, the glamour and licence of the international political elite and ultimately, the tragedy of four generations of a family defined by a political idealism that would destroy them.

  5. How can we say she is Pakistani born in Afghanistan? Her grandmother was an Iranian Kurd,her own mother an Irani. Her father had iranian blood. Sothat makes three quarter Irani.
